Culture Shock

Usually Ethiopian Parents are strict, they don't allow kids to stay late outside, even if the kids are mature enough they are not happy when they see them drink alcohol or smoke and having tattoos unless it's traditional. So in this case too many adventures happen, like sneaking out from home or doing lot of nasty things. Specially it's believed that parents are more strict on their daughters than on their sons. Traditionally it's not acceptable to girls wearing shorts or pants even being more like the westerns. On rural areas, girls were not allowed to go to school they were seen less than the boys. Nowadays people are taking it easy and stopped putting much effort in their kids.

In Addis every thing is not really hard, we live freely. Me as an Ethiopian living in Israel there are no efforts on me I can wear whatever i want and so on. Even if now there is no much culture shock I still think we should avoid all the bad habits. I love my country and I will do anything to change the way people think about Ethiopia. Ethiopia is not a poor country, it's rich with the love of people, the respect and freedom.
