Culture Shock

Usually Ethiopian Parents are strict, they don't allow kids to stay late outside, even if the kids are mature enough they are not happy when they see them drink alcohol or smoke and having tattoos unless it's traditional. So in this case too many adventures happen, like sneaking out from home or doing lot of nasty things. Specially it's believed that parents are more strict on their daughters than on their sons. Traditionally it's not acceptable to girls wearing shorts or pants even being more like the westerns. On rural areas, girls were not allowed to go to school they were seen less than the boys. Nowadays people are taking it easy and stopped putting much effort in their kids.

In Addis every thing is not really hard, we live freely. Me as an Ethiopian living in Israel there are no efforts on me I can wear whatever i want and so on. Even if now there is no much culture shock I still think we should avoid all the bad habits. I love my country and I will do anything to change the way people think about Ethiopia. Ethiopia is not a poor country, it's rich with the love of people, the respect and freedom.

Best City

With its growing population of 3 million, Addis Ababa is the largest city in Ethiopia, where very young, lovely, and wild people are found. 'Addis Ababa' which means, new flower, was established 125 years ago by Empress Tayitu, the wife of Emperor  Minilik. Emperor Minilik is the king which led Ethiopians in the  battle of Adwa to the great victory of Ethiopians against Italian aggressors. There are  several luxury hotels and many diplomat residences. Safe and peaceful hotels and restaurants. Too many places to hang out which we can meet the friendly people. Addis is a very cool place, nice and chilly weather with green environment.

These groups have their own language, cultures and ways of life. The total population of Ethiopia is over 80 million. The Semitic language of Ethiopia is related to both Hebrew and Arabic. Ethiopian People wear too many different types of clothes, the very known traditional cloth is called (ye Habesha lebse ) a white woven cotton costume usually worn for festivals and holidays. People from different places wear different costumes that reflect their own tradition, and this makes Ethiopians attractive and colorful when seen together.
